DumpBrowserSecrets is a publicly available post-exploitation tool that harvests credentials and session tokens from major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi, Firefox) by bypassing App-Bound Encryption (via DLL injection into a headless Chromium process and the IElevator COM interface) or extracting DPAPI/NSS-protected keys. It outputs structured JSON of cookies, saved logins, OAuth refresh tokens, autofill data, and history, includes operational evasion features (string obfuscation, API hashing, PPID/argument spoofing, handle duplication), and is intended for red-team/assumed-breach use but poses real risk for cloud account takeover and lateral movement if used by adversaries; detection and mitigation guidance are provided.
