DumpBrowserSecrets is a post-exploitation credential-harvesting tool that extracts saved credentials, session cookies, OAuth refresh tokens, credit card data, autofill entries, history, and bookmarks from major Chromium-based and Firefox browsers. It bypasses Chrome’s App-Bound Encryption by spawning a headless Chromium process and injecting a DLL to use the IElevator COM interface to decrypt keys, handles DPAPI and NSS decryption for other browsers, and includes evasion techniques (string obfuscation, API hashing, PPID/argument spoofing, Early Bird APC injection, and custom SQLite parsing). The tool outputs structured JSON, is distributed as a precompiled Windows executable (with source available), and is positioned for red-team/assumed-breach use while also representing a high-risk capability for credential theft and cloud account takeover if used by malicious actors.
