DumpBrowserSecrets is a publicly distributed post‑exploitation tool that extracts saved credentials, session cookies, OAuth refresh tokens, credit card data, autofill entries, history, and bookmarks from major Chromium- and Firefox-based browsers. The tool bypasses Chrome's App-Bound Encryption by spawning a headless Chromium process and injecting a DLL to call the IElevator COM interface, uses DPAPI or NSS decryption where appropriate, includes multiple operational evasion features (string obfuscation, API hashing, PPID/argument spoofing, file-handle duplication, custom SQLite parsing), outputs structured JSON, and is positioned as a red-team tool to assess the credential blast radius of compromised developer workstations; the report also outlines detection opportunities and mitigations.
