Spanish Authorities Confiscate a Record Amount of Ecstasy

Spanish and Dutch authorities detained 15 suspects and seized 947 kilograms of MDMA during coordinated raids in 11 locations in Spain and one in the Netherlands; the narcotics were hidden inside industrial machinery bound for Ghana and were reportedly to be routed through West Africa to South America in exchange for cocaine as part of an investigation that began in early 2025 into a southern Spain-based international drug trafficking and money laundering syndicate.
