Europol Flags 51 Child Victims, 213 Leads in Global Abuse Investigation

Europol reported that its Victim Identification Task Force (Sept 8–19) convened 27 experts to analyze over 300 datasets of child sexual exploitation material, identifying 51 abused children and producing 213 investigative leads; since 2014, the initiative has safeguarded more than 1,000 victims and led to over 300 arrests. Europol warns that AI is increasingly aiding the exchange of such material and calls on the public to assist investigations via its Stop Child Abuse – Trace an Object platform.
