Up to 15 Years in Prison Sought for Azerbaijani Journalists in Deepening Crackdown

An Azerbaijani prosecutor has requested prison terms of up to 15 years for four Toplum TV journalists and sought similarly long sentences for activists and civil society workers in a case widely denounced by international rights groups as a politically motivated crackdown on independent media; the accused deny the financial-crimes charges and the trial is continuing.
