Hackers Demand $3M Ransom in Revolut Data Leak

A group claiming the name "iamnotavillain" asserted responsibility for a Revolut data breach and demanded 6,000 Monero (~$3M), threatening to sell sensitive information for ~680 customers if not paid; some customer data has reportedly been published. Revolut says it received no direct ransom demand and that its systems and customer funds were not compromised; Italian authorities are investigating use or cloning of a government email account allegedly used to request the data.
