Ex-Directors of Abramovich-Linked Firm Indicted in €25M Cyprus Tax Evasion Case

Cyprus’ tax commissioner has filed a criminal indictment against former directors of Blue Ocean Management Limited, seeking over €25 million in unpaid VAT and surcharges tied to a purportedly fake superyacht-leasing scheme that allegedly benefited Roman Abramovich. The company, dissolved in 2023 and recently reinstated by court order, is accused of arranging sham charters between 2005 and 2010 to claim tax exemptions for commercial use, with a trial set for October 9, 2025 in Limassol District Court.
