Serbian President Dismisses Plot Against Football Legend Vidić as Lawyer Files Criminal Complaint

An OCCRP/KRIK investigation of leaked Sky ECC messages alleges that Slaviša Kokeza, former president of the Football Association of Serbia, discussed hiring criminals in 2020 to track and assault Nemanja Vidić and other players; the leaks also link Kokeza to hooligan networks and communications with known criminals. Serbia's Prosecution for Organized Crime has said it will request Sky ECC communications from the Ministry of the Interior and pursue the matter after a lawyer filed a criminal complaint, while President Vučić publicly downplayed the revelations.
