French authorities are investigating a series of cyberattacks that breached multiple government services, leading to the theft and apparent sale of nearly 700,000 personal and financial records and the exposure of 3 million phone numbers from the Bloctel service; the National Police’s anti-cybercrime unit is leading the probe and reports indicate the same hacker may have targeted multiple ministries.
