Global Anti-Trafficking Sweep Rescues Over 2,000 Victims and Nets 1,024 Arrests

Europol coordinated Operation "Global Chain" with Frontex and INTERPOL across 59 countries (June 8–12), mobilizing over 40,000 officers to target human trafficking networks; the operation resulted in 1,024 arrests, 2,070 potential victims identified (predominantly adult females, with many minors exploited), more than half a million identity checks, 465 new investigations opened, and victims originating from 45 countries.
