Libya Widens Search After Mass Graves Found in Desert

Libyan authorities are intensifying searches for migrant mass graves after three skeletonized bodies were found near Zillah, following earlier discoveries in Al Kufra and Jikharra that yielded 93 bodies, some with gunshot wounds. Concurrently, security forces have escalated anti-trafficking operations—arresting suspected smugglers, demolishing makeshift shelters, and detaining 160 migrants near Musaid—while a separate maritime tragedy off Harawa resulted in 11 deaths, including four Pakistani nationals.
