Servers in Moldova Hosted Darknet Crime Market, Authorities Say

Moldovan, German and Spanish authorities, with EU partners, dismantled Crimenetwork — a darknet marketplace hosted on Moldovan servers that traded stolen bank card data, login credentials, personal documents, malware, ransomware, DDoS and money-laundering services. The operation included arrest of a suspected operator in Mallorca, seizures of devices, cryptocurrency and cash (~194,000 EUR seized reported by Moldova), and revealed the platform had ~22,000 users, >100 vendors, and generated an estimated 3.6 million EUR in commissions and fees.
