Authorities in Ukraine, Poland, and Moldova, supported by Europol, conducted a coordinated operation (Feb 12–17) against a synthetic drug network producing and trafficking cathinones like alpha-PVP, dismantling 34 labs and 74 storage sites, conducting ~500 searches, seizing over 27 million doses, cash/virtual currencies, and vehicles, and arresting over 100 suspects. Poland’s CBŚP dismantled two labs, and investigators highlighted safety and environmental risks. The network leveraged legal business structures across EU states to import precursors and obfuscate operations, while Europol provided analytical support and real-time data sharing to disrupt logistics, sales channels, and communications.
