China Executes 11 in Myanmar-Linked Telecom Fraud Gang

China has executed 11 members of the 'Ming family' criminal network accused of running large-scale telecom fraud and illegal gambling from Myanmar’s Kokang region; authorities say the group generated more than 100 billion yuan in illicit proceeds, cooperated with other scam operations that led to deaths and injuries of Chinese citizens, and earlier trials resulted in additional death sentences.
