Threat Intelligence: NASA Hit With Data Breach

NASA discovered on October 23 that a server containing PII for current and former employees (July 2006–October 2018) had been hacked; the agency is securing the server, working with federal cybersecurity partners, and notifying potentially affected employees while offering identity protection services. The scope and exact number of compromised records are unknown, and employees are advised to monitor financial accounts and email for fraud or phishing attempts.
