Researchers tested several children's smartwatches and found serious security flaws: real-time location tracking can be altered (location spoofing), data is stored and transmitted without encryption, SOS functionality is poorly implemented, and data cannot be deleted. The only device without reported vulnerabilities was the limited-feature Tinitell; parents are advised not to buy these watches until vendors release fixes.
