Google AdWords and Google Sites Used to Spread Malware

Attackers are buying Google AdWords and using Google Sites to display malicious pages that impersonate a Google Chrome installer; victims who download the installer receive Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUPs) instead. Researchers believe Google may not be scanning ad links in the ad submission process, reports to Google have been made but the issue persists, and users are warned to be cautious when downloading software from unfamiliar sites.
