Cisco disclosed that it unintentionally released internal test code used during validation of its TelePresence Video Communication Server; the release relates to testing against the Dirty Cow (CVE-2016-5195) Linux privilege-escalation vulnerability. Cisco reports no known malicious exploitation of the accidental release and recommends customers update software images and monitor security advisories.
