The Orbital Lifeline: Starlink Battles Military-Grade Jamming in Iran

Iran has effectively severed most domestic connectivity to the global Internet and is using military-grade radio jamming and physical seizures to disrupt Starlink satellite internet; Starlink and collaborators (NasNet) have implemented mitigations that reduced packet loss from 30–80% to about 10%, but connectivity remains unstable and at risk of further degradation. Starlink is providing service in Iran free of charge while users are advised to conceal hardware and obfuscate network identifiers to avoid detection.
