Fabricked: The 100% Deterministic Attack Breaking AMD’s Confidential Computing Vault

Researchers disclosed “Fabricked” (CVE-2025-54510), a deterministic software-only attack that manipulates Infinity Fabric memory routing to cause insecure RMP initialization in AMD SEV-SNP; confirmed on Zen 5 EPYC and mitigated via firmware updates for other generations, the flaw allows a malicious hypervisor arbitrary read/write access to Confidential VMs and breaks the core confidentiality guarantees of AMD’s confidential computing.
