The Solonik Leak: 17.5 Million Instagram Profiles Exposed on Dark Web

A dataset allegedly containing details for ~17.5 million Instagram users (usernames, emails, phone numbers and partial addresses) is being sold on underground markets by a seller calling themselves “Solonik.” Malwarebytes corroborated the listing and observers report active abuse—many users have received legitimate-looking password reset emails—raising high risk of account takeover, phishing, and identity theft; Meta says there was no systems breach and that it fixed an issue that allowed external password reset requests.
