AI Mode Goes Global: Google’s Agentic Search Expands and Adds Booking Tools

Google announced the global expansion of its AI Mode search feature to over 180 countries, initially in English, with enhanced agentic capabilities for restaurant reservations and forthcoming support for local services and event ticketing via partners like OpenTable, Resy, Tock, Ticketmaster, and StubHub. The service, powered by the Project Mariner browsing agent integrated with Knowledge Graph and Google Maps, is currently limited to Google AI Ultra subscribers via Google Labs, with plans for broader availability based on user feedback, and now includes a shared conversation feature for collaborative planning.
