Chrome 147 Update: Google Patches Critical $90,000 ANGLE Flaw and 30 Other Security Gaps

Google released Chrome 147.0.7727.101/102 to patch 31 security vulnerabilities — including five Critical issues — most notably CVE-2026-6296, a heap buffer overflow in ANGLE that could enable sandbox escape and arbitrary code execution; the update also fixes several use-after-free and memory-safety bugs across graphics, rendering, and the JavaScript compiler, and administrators are urged to update immediately.
