One-Touch Security: Google Expands End-to-End Encryption to Gmail on Android and iOS

Google has extended Gmail’s end-to-end encryption (S/MIME via Workspace Client-Side Encryption) from the web to native Android and iOS apps for enterprise Workspace customers (Enterprise Plus with Assured Controls or add-on). The feature enables one-touch encryption and cross-platform access—allowing recipients without Gmail to view messages via secure browser links—and aims to simplify secure mobile email for large organizations compared to other providers that require more complex certificate or configuration steps.
