Cloudflare Logs Suffer Critical Failure, Losing 55% of User Data

Cloudflare experienced a 3.5-hour outage on November 14 caused by a faulty Logpush software update and misconfigurations, resulting in a cascading failure and the permanent loss of over half of its log data. While engineers rolled back the update, the surge of undelivered logs worsened the incident; Cloudflare apologized and stated it is implementing preventative measures to avoid similar events.
