Defeating the Epochalypse: GRUB 2.14 Arrives to Save Linux from Year 2038

GRUB 2.14 has been released, bringing EROFS filesystem support, LVM improvements (LV integrity and cachevol), EFI NX protection, shim loader protocol integration, Argon2 key derivation, TPM2 key protection, and PowerPC Secure Boot with appended signatures; additional updates include storing environment blocks in Btrfs headers, support for BLS and UKI, zstdio decompression, resolution of the Year 2038 issue, and an option to lock the CLI, alongside numerous CVE fixes, reliability enhancements to TPM drivers and filesystems, expanded testing, updated documentation, and a libgcrypt upgrade to 1.11, with source code and Windows binaries (i386-pc, i386-efi, x86_64-efi) made available.
