Beyond the Wrapper: Google and Accel Select 5 Indian Startups to Native-Code the Future of AI

Google and venture firm Accel launched the Atoms AI accelerator in India to support domain-focused AI startups; from over 4,000 applicants they selected five companies (K-Dense, Dodge.ai, Persistence Labs, Zingroll, and Level Plane) to receive up to $2M in funding plus Google Cloud and AI credits. The program emphasizes real-world, enterprise-focused AI (criticizing many applicants as superficial “AI wrappers”) and is intended to gather operational feedback on model performance without requiring startups to exclusively use Google models.
