Verizon IMS Vulnerability: Critical VoLTE Flaw Discovered

Researchers discovered that Verizon’s core VoLTE/IMS network fails to implement mandatory IPsec protections for SIP signaling, leaving voice traffic unencrypted and vulnerable to on-path interception and manipulation; the flaw enables call hijacking, spoofing, denial-of-service, and misrouting of emergency calls, and Verizon has not provided verifiable mitigations despite an iOS carrier-settings update.
