Chrome’s Security Overhaul: 127 Fixes and $100k+ in Bounties Power the New Chrome 148 Stable Release

Google released Chrome 148 (148.0.7778.96/97) rolling out 127 security fixes across Windows, Mac, and Linux. The update patches three Critical vulnerabilities — an integer overflow in Blink (CVE-2026-7896) and two use-after-free flaws (CVE-2026-7897 in Mobile and CVE-2026-7898 in Chromoting) — plus numerous high-, medium-, and low-severity fixes targeting V8, ANGLE, SVG, DOM, ServiceWorkers, DevTools, and other components; users should update via Settings > About Chrome.
