JSAC2023 -Day 2 Workshop-

This report summarizes JSAC2023 Day 2 workshops: an SBOM session by Simon Vestin and Manabu Niseki (LINE) explaining SBOM concepts, standards, and hands-on generation using VS Code devcontainers and cyclonedx-python-lib across challenges (requirements.txt, gradle.lockfile, site-packages, Java runtime SBOM, OSV-based vulnerability detection); and a Sigma detection engineering workshop by Shota Nakajima and Rintaro Koike creating Sigma rules from TTPs using Sysmon logs, a VS Code extension, and Chainsaw, with examples including LODEINFO DLL side-loading, Operation RestyLink LNK, Lazarus SnatchCrypto VHD, TA410 FlowCloud, and BlackTech HPIDoor. It concludes with recognition of Best Speaker and Special Recognition awardees.
