Malakoff Humanis, which manages third-party payments for 84 health insurers and up to 20 million policyholders, suffered a breach after a single healthcare professional’s account was phished; stolen data reportedly included beneficiary name, date of birth, social security number, marital status, insurer name, and guarantees, creating significant fraud risk — ransomware was suggested but not confirmed.
