Scammers Abuse Virtual Shopping Lists to Trick Walmart Customers

Researchers at Malwarebytes report that scammers are abusing Walmart Lists and paid Google Ads to surface fake “Walmart Customer Support” entries containing phone numbers; callers are connected to impersonators who threaten arrest over alleged bank transactions and coerce victims into transferring money (commonly to Bitcoin accounts). The advisory warns about malvertising, trusting site content blindly, and typical scare-and-pressure tactics, and recommends verifying contacts through official channels and avoiding clicking ads.
