Warning: Ransomware Attacks Surged by 63% Last Quarter

BlackFog's Q2 2025 ransomware report shows a 63% year-over-year rise in publicly disclosed ransomware incidents (276) and an estimated 1,446 undisclosed attacks (80.9% of activity); healthcare and retail were heavily impacted, data exfiltration occurred in 95% of disclosed attacks, and the Qilin gang was the most active actor responsible for roughly 10% of disclosed incidents.
