ZDNET reports that Google launched “Personal Intelligence” for Gemini, enabling the assistant to reason across Gmail, Photos, YouTube, and Search to deliver more personalized, context-aware responses. The feature is off by default, includes controls to connect selected apps, and avoids training directly on users’ inboxes or photo libraries (training is limited to prompts and responses). Google warns of possible inaccuracies or over-personalization and encourages feedback. Initially in beta for paid AI Pro and AI Ultra users across Web, Android, and iOS, it’s not available for Workspace accounts and can be enabled via Gemini settings, with expansion to more users planned.
