AI is both a cyber weapon and a massive target, CrowdStrike warns

CrowdStrike's 2026 Threat Hunting Report warns that AI is both a tool and an attack surface: adversaries (including DPRK-linked groups) are weaponizing LLMs for phishing, vishing, credential theft, and high-volume LLMJacking (one campaign generated ~200,000 API calls in two minutes), while AI-assisted research and fast exploit development have compressed vulnerability-to-exploitation timelines, forcing organizations to secure AI/identities, close blind spots, and adopt proactive defenses.
