Kaspersky’s KSN-based yearly snapshot (Nov 2024–Oct 2025) reports that 48% of Windows and 29% of macOS users encountered cyberthreats; 27% faced web threats and 33% on-device threats, with web threats highest in CIS (34%) and local threats most frequent in Africa (41%). Detections of password stealers and spyware rose markedly—password stealer detections increased nearly 1.6x globally (132% surge in APAC), and spyware detections grew 1.5x—indicating escalating credential theft and surveillance activity.
