IT threat evolution in Q3 2025. Non-mobile statistics

Kaspersky’s Q3 2025 non-mobile threat report details large-scale active threats across ransomware, cryptominers, macOS spyware, IoT botnets and web-based malware: ~389.8M web attacks were blocked, 2,259 new ransomware modifications were detected, nearly 85,000 users experienced ransomware attacks and ~254,414 users were targeted by miners. The report highlights exploitation of critical vulnerabilities (SonicWall CVE-2024-40766 and SharePoint ToolShell campaigns), law-enforcement disruptions of several ransomware operations, and emerging trends including AI-assisted ransomware and LLM-enabled strains.
