In 2025 the financial cyberthreat landscape shifted from traditional desktop banking Trojans toward credential-focused attacks: phishing increasingly targeted e-commerce and digital services, infostealers surged (fueling a dark‑web market for credentials, cards, and “fullz”), and mobile banking malware grew substantially; large-scale compromises and active banking malware families continued to enable widespread fraud.
