Cisco Umbrella Now Integrates With Protective DNS

Cisco announces direct integration of Umbrella with CISA’s Protective DNS to help U.S. Federal Civilian agencies meet DHS mandates, extending protections with user-level granularity, fine-grained policies, and seamless mobile coverage via Cisco Secure Client across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android. The integration leverages Talos-backed threat intelligence, encrypted DNS (DoH/DoT/DNSCrypt), and machine learning-based DNS tunneling detection to protect both on-premises and roaming users, and is configured in both platforms at no additional cost for Umbrella customers.
