Automatically Chasing CNAMEs in Farsight DNSDB Scout

This report explains Farsight DNSDB Scout's new automated CNAME-chasing feature—showing step-by-step examples (Washington Post, Harvard, Princeton, UCSD) of resolving domain names through CNAME chains to IP addresses, how the GUI selects branches, query limits, handling of incomplete chains and CNAME flattening, and guidance for investigators on automating the process to speed infrastructure discovery.
