Fortinet Plans to Acquire Lacework

Fortinet announced plans to acquire cloud security firm Lacework to integrate its cloud-native application protection platform into Fortinet’s SASE portfolio, combining CNAPP, AI/ML analytics, data lake, and code security with Fortinet’s firewall and WAAP to expand protection across cloud applications and network edges; deal terms were not disclosed and completion is expected in the second half of the year.
