Why Red Teams Can't Answer Defenders' Most Important Questions

This commentary argues that red-team exercises are limited for validating detection coverage because they test only a few variants of attack techniques, creating false confidence in defenses; it advocates supplementing red teaming with atomic-style testing of many representative technique variants, better test-case construction, and evolved purple-team practices to more accurately measure and improve detection posture.
