Drawing on ISC2, Cyberseek, and industry experts, it highlights a mismatch between idealized headcount needs and real openings, with entry-level roles particularly scarce as employers demand more experience, degrees, and certifications. It concludes that training and marketing hype overpromise outcomes for newcomers while economic pressures and evolving skill requirements continue to constrain the talent pipeline.
