IoT/OT Network Adversaries Advance Amidst Bug Barrage

Nozomi Networks telemetry from late 2023 shows rising risks to IoT and OT environments: the largest portion of threats were network anomalies and attacks (notably TCP floods and network scans), brute-force and multiple-login authorization attacks increased significantly, and CISA-reported ICS vulnerabilities rose 38% (with manufacturing vulnerabilities up 230%). The report warns of more sophisticated attacker behavior penetrating defenses and advises prioritizing segmentation, asset discovery, vulnerability management, patching, logging, endpoint detection, and actionable threat intelligence to improve operational resiliency.
