NSA Releases 6 Principles of OT Cybersecurity

NSA and allied cybersecurity agencies released guidance titled “Principles of Operational Technology Cyber Security,” offering six foundational principles to strengthen OT security across critical infrastructure sectors such as water, energy, and transportation. The guidance emphasizes prioritizing safety, understanding business-critical functions, protecting sensitive OT data, segmenting OT from IT and the internet, securing the supply chain, and ensuring skilled personnel and strong security culture, encouraging organizations to assess changes and controls against these principles to reduce risk.
