Cyberattack Takes Frontier Communications Offline

Frontier Communications detected an unauthorized breach on April 14 that led to theft of personally identifiable information (PII) and prompted the company to take certain systems offline, resulting in material operational disruption; the core IT environment is running but normal business operations and the company website remained offline while investigations continue and law enforcement and external cybersecurity experts have been engaged.
