Using Post-Quantum Planning to Improve Security Hygiene

This commentary urges enterprises to proactively prepare for quantum threats by adopting post-quantum cryptography (PQC) and improving cryptographic hygiene: evaluate NIST-selected quantum-resistant algorithms, implement crypto-agility and automated certificate/key lifecycle management, perform comprehensive cryptographic audits, standardize encryption across hybrid environments, and use phased, tested migrations to maintain compliance and resilience against both current and future cryptographic threats.
