CSA’s 2025 CISO Plans and Priorities survey, commissioned by Adaptive Shield and based on 478 respondents, finds strong prioritization of SaaS security despite economic headwinds: 70% prioritize SaaS security, 39% increased budgets, and most now have dedicated SaaS security staff with improved visibility (70% report moderate-to-full). Persistent challenges include visibility into business-critical apps (73%), third‑party connected apps and misconfigurations (both 65%), data governance (63%), and compliance alignment (61%), with SSPM adopters reporting notably better stack visibility. Reported SaaS incidents fell to 25% over the past two years (from 53% last year), with data breaches, data leakage, unauthorized access, and malicious apps most common.
