Proof-of-Concept in 15 Minutes? AI Turbocharges Exploitation

Researchers developed an AI-driven system called Auto Exploit that uses LLMs (Anthropic Claude and others), CVE advisories, and code patches to automatically create, validate, and test proof-of-concept exploits for open-source vulnerabilities—generating 14 exploits in a matter of minutes to hours and costing roughly $1 per exploit. The project demonstrates low-cost, rapid exploit creation, the relative ease of bypassing model guardrails, and warns defenders that exploit timelines may shrink to machine speed, requiring faster mitigations and prioritization based on reachability rather than traditional exploitability scoring.
